To pull from the automaker's press blast, "Mercedes-Benz will now exclusively offer the new 2013 Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG GT. Available as a Coupe and Roadster, it will go on sale in mid-November 2012, replacing previous SLS AMG versions." The update mostly focuses on improving the SLS AMG GT's performance, handling with the 6.2-liter and New optional features include an AMG designo Exclusive STYLE leather package and a fresh assortment of color combinations. 2013 Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG GT Coupe and Roadster Design
With
darkened headlamps and tail lights as well as red-painted brake
callipers, the new SLS AMG GT also features a unique look. The
wing-shaped cross fins and the star recess in the radiator grille also
retain a high-gloss finish, as do the exterior mirrors and the fins on
the bonnet and wings. The AMG logo on the right of the boot lid also
features the additional letters “GT”.
On the inside,
Mercedes-Benz added Alcantara to the door panels, center sections of the
seats and the flat bottom steering wheel which also gets a red 12
o'clock marking, gloss black accent trims, and black dials for the
instrument panel cluster.

The
GT uses the same 6.2-liter fire-breathing V8 from the current SLS,
though there's an additional 20 horsepower on tap – 583 versus the 563
of the outgoing model. Torque output remains the same at 479 pound-feet
and the same seven-speed AMG Speedshift dual-clutch transmission is on
tap as before. The added grunt shaves a tenth of a second off of the
SLS' 0-60 time (3.6 seconds instead of 3.7), and the GT's top speed is
electronically limited to the same 197 miles per hour as before.
With
a maximum output of 435 kW (591 hp), the optimised AMG SPEEDSHIFT DCT
7-speed sports transmission and the redeveloped AMG RIDE CONTROL
Performance suspension, the Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG GT – which is
available both as a Coupé and a Roadster – has raised the bar even
higher. As a further highlight, the new high-quality AMG designo
Exclusive STYLE leather is now also available as an optional extra for
all SLS AMG models.
2013 Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG GT Coupe and Roadster Prices
The
market launch of the 2013 Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG GT will commence in
October 2012. In Europe, sales commence in October 2012, with prices in
Germany set at €204,680 for the SLS AMG GT and €213,010 for the SLS AMG
